The Problem with Plain Links

When you share a link to your Omeka S site on social media, the result is often disappointing — a bare URL, a missing image, or a generic favicon. That's not a great first impression for a carefully curated digital collection.

Those preview cards you see when links are shared on Twitter, Facebook, or Slack are called Open Graph images. Without them, social platforms just guess what to show or show nothiing.

What OG Images Does

The OG Images module solves this by automatically generating preview images for all your Omeka S resource types — items, item sets, media, sites, pages, and even blog posts. Every shared link gets a polished, branded preview card, with no extra work on your part.

A Visual Template Editor

The module includes a template editor with a live preview, so you can design exactly how your preview images look. Choose from six built-in style presets as a starting point, then customise them to match your branding. You can create different templates for different resource types, and even assign different designs to different sites.
