I’ve been meaning to launch this site for a long time. A really long time. As a developer, it’s a little ironic how easy it is to put off building something for yourself while you’re busy building things for everyone else.

Eventually, I realized I didn’t need a perfect stack or a brand-new framework to get started. I already work extensively with Omeka S, and I run Omeka Cloud hosting at RefBytes, so instead of overthinking it, I used the tools I know well and trust. This site is an Omeka S site running on the Omeka Cloud infrastructure. Sometimes the best way forward is to stop optimizing and just ship.

I genuinely enjoy working in Laravel, so you will probably see that pop up here often. It is the framework I keep coming back to because it is clean, expressive, and powerful enough to build just about anything I can think of.

This site is a place to share what I am building, learning, and experimenting with, whether that is SaaS ideas, AI integrations, library-focused tools, or random side projects that catch my interest. Mostly, it is a place to think out loud and build in public.

I am glad it is finally live.
